THE NAME BEHIND OURS

The Esther Tyoden Commemorative Foundation (ETC Foundation) is inspired by the life and times of the late Mrs. Esther Nancin Tyoden-a homemaker, caterer and hospitality worker who lived a selfless and exemplary life. It was founded by her daughter.

Esther fought a long and hard battle with cancer which ended in 2002.  While no longer with us, in our book, Esther Won! Throughout her battle, she remained a pillar of resilient strength, uplifting the spirits of those around her, exuding hope-hope for tomorrow's promises, where we’d collectively turn our pain into our power. ETC Foundation is ‘Esther winning with others’.

In July, 2022, we were welcomed by Pushit community in Mangu, Plateau State, Nigeria. There, we empowered over two hundred rural women with the information, tools and support they need to prevent, detect, and fight breast and cervical cancer. We also screened over 100 women for cervical cancer; all made possible by our generous donors; people just like you.

Communities Combating Cancer (C3) builds on our valued partnership with the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) .
